I’ve been busy working to fill the big holes in my shop from the things that sold over the opening weekend. I feel a bit like a hamster on a wheel right now, but it’s the good kind of busy…it still doesn’t feel like work anyway! But my hands hurt! All that painting, sanding and waxing does some damage.
I’m really excited about the two pieces I just finished. I brought them over to the shop this afternoon and had all kinds of fun rearranging the whole place all over again! Wow, I have lots to do…big plans, big plans. 🙂
So here are the two new additions:
Remember the cool buffet/cabinet cart on wheels?
Meet Bridget now:
I painted Bridget (the sexy bar cart if it were mine) in the same style as my Restoration Hardware inspired dresser. It has a slight metallic undertone to give it some interest and depth. The interior is painted in Pure White by Annie Sloan to create a clean canvas to show off pretty glasses or other beautiful accessories inside. I just love the wire cabinet doors and wheels.
Here’s a close up…
The next piece is an amazing dresser I scored a couple of weeks back. I love this style of hardware and have been hoping to get my hands on one. Finally!
Here is the before: (without the hardware)
Grace is painted in on of my favorite colors, French Linen. The drawers are painted in Old White with a heavy dark wax layer and distressing. One of my favorite combinations to show off great legs and hardware.
Here she is close-up:
My furniture stash is getting low! I need to do some serious hunting soon. I never thought I’d be unhappy to see that pile of projects go down, but I’d feel much better if I had more pieces waiting on standby. I would love to find a great antique sideboard or buffet, so keep your eyes out for me!
